Our spine surgery specialists understand that neck and back pain can completely disrupt your life. With a range of personalized treatment options, they are ready to help you regain your mobility and improve your quality of life.

We’ve got your back

Whether referred to one of our neurosurgical or orthopedic spine surgery specialists, rest assured that they will work closely with neurologists, pain management, physical therapy, rehabilitation, and other specialists to develop a personalized treatment plan — including surgery as necessary — for you.

Should you be diagnosed with a spinal or neck tumor, our spine surgery specialists will collaborate with Tanner Cancer Care oncologists and radiation oncologists to develop a comprehensive treatment plan for your specific cancer.

Our approach to surgery

Each of our spine surgeons uses minimally invasive approaches when possible. Minimally invasive surgery means smaller incisions, a shorter recovery, and a faster return to the activities you love.

During your surgery, your surgeon will utilize the latest technologies to ensure success. These include spinal navigation, three-dimensional fluoroscopy, and intraoperative CT and MRI scanning.

These and other technologies and procedures will be explained during your pre-surgery appointments.

Tanner Orthopedics is recognized with Disease-Specific Care (DSC) certification from The Joint Commission for spine surgery, a distinction that reflects excellence in joint spine care.

Your complete treatment plan

Before and after your spine or neck surgery, your treatment plan may include:

  • Medications
  • Pain management strategies
  • Physical therapy and/or prescribed exercises
  • Holistic therapies such as acupuncture
  • Spine injections
