Our approach

Tanner’s cancer care program, which is accredited by the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer (CoC), is among the top cancer treatment programs in the nation. Diagnosis

A definitive cancer diagnosis usually requires the opinion of a pathologist, a doctor who specializes in the diagnosis of cancer and other diseases. Your diagnosis will usually include an examination of a tissue sample. Most cancers can be treated — and many cured — depending on the specific type, location and stage of progression.

Treatment

Once diagnosed, your cancer care team may treat your cancer with a combination of surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Many people continue to work full-time while undergoing treatment. We recommend you continue daily activities you feel able to do, depending on symptoms and medications.
