Sleep disorders are common – often leaving you sleepy – and can impact your quality of life, ultimately taking a toll on your health.

The Tanner Center for Sleep Disorders specializes in helping you get the rest you need.

Our sleep medicine specialists and sleep technologists help diagnose the cause of your sleepless nights.

How sleep studies help you

During a sleep study, a sleep specialist, called a polysomnographer, monitors your vital signs while you sleep.

These readings offer insights into your sleep quality. The results are analyzed by a sleep medicine doctor who can diagnose sleep disorders. If a disorder is found, your sleep medicine doctor will collaborate with you to address the issue.

Sleep studies we offer

The Tanner Center for Sleep Disorders is fully accredited to provide:

  • Full-night diagnostic studies (nocturnal polysomnogram, or NPSG)
  • Split-night diagnostic and therapeutic studies (NPSG with continuous positive airway pressure or CPAP)
  • Daytime multiple sleep latency tests
  • Pediatric sleep studies
  • Home sleep studies

Home sleep studies

We also offer in-home sleep studies. The monitoring equipment is delivered to your home, allowing you to wear it while you sleep in your own bed.

Consult your doctor to determine if you qualify for a home sleep study, as not all sleep issues can be accurately assessed from home.

The importance of sleep health

Sleep medicine isn’t just about helping you rest at night — it’s crucial for your overall health. Sleep disorders like obstructive sleep apnea, one of the most common sleep disorders, can lead to severe daytime sleepiness, high blood pressure, an increased risk of heart attack and more.

If you suspect you have a sleep problem, consult your doctor.
