Dr. Sunderland earned his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, and his fellowship in orthopedic reconstructive surgery at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta.
