Nizam-Uddin Khaja, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist and addiction medicine specialist with more than 20 years of experience in behavioral health care. He has served in both academic and clinical leadership roles throughout his career, including as a clinical associate professor at the Medical College of Georgia northwest campus in Rome and as medical director and chief medical officer at Highland Rivers Health's Polk Recovery and Wellness Center in Cedartown. Dr. Khaja earned his medical degree from Siddhartha Medical College in Vijayawada, India, and completed his internship and residency at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City.
