Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton is a 299-bed acute care hospital dedicated to helping patients get well, stay well and live well.

Since 1949, Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton has provided advanced, compassionate care for families throughout west Georgia and east Alabama. As Tanner Health’s flagship hospital, Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services for patients of all ages.

Named in honor of Sally and John Francis Tanner, the hospital continues their legacy of community-focused care through leading medical services, advanced technology and patient-centered treatment.

The emergency department at Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and staffed by board-certified physicians trained to care for serious medical emergencies, including stroke.

At the Adams Heart Center, part of Tanner Heart Care, cardiovascular specialists provide advanced treatment for heart attacks, heart valve disease and other complex heart conditions. Services include open-heart surgery, coronary artery bypass grafting and transcatheter aortic valve replacement.

The W. Steve Worthy Maternity Center at Tanner Medical Center/Carrollton welcomes more than 1,000 babies each year and includes comfortable labor and delivery suites designed for families. Babies needing specialized care have access to the Level III Sally and John Francis Tanner Neonatal ICU.
