Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica is a 67-bed acute care hospital in Villa Rica, Georgia, serving Carroll, Douglas and Paulding counties and the surrounding region.

Originally known as Villa Rica City Hospital, the facility was rebuilt in 2003 as Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica. Today, the hospital offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services for patients of all ages.

In 2018, the hospital expanded to include a larger emergency department with 37 private exam rooms, an advanced surgical services center and a dedicated post-anesthesia care unit designed to support recovery after surgery.

Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica is an accredited Chest Pain Center and a certified Primary Stroke Center, providing advanced emergency care when minutes matter most.

The Maternity Center at Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica welcomes more than 700 babies each year and features comfortable labor and delivery suites with nearby family waiting areas.

Inside Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica, you’ll find a modern emergency department with private exam rooms, welcoming atriums designed for comfort and advanced technology for minimally invasive surgery, joint replacement and more.

Construction updates

Tanner Health continues to invest in expanded access to care throughout west Georgia and east Alabama. Ongoing construction at Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica includes additional inpatient beds, expanded women’s services, newborn and continuing care nurseries, additional labor and delivery rooms, a new C-section room and enhanced imaging and outpatient OB-GYN services.
