Willowbrooke at Tanner — Villa Rica is a leading inpatient behavioral health hospital serving West Georgia and East Alabama with compassionate, comprehensive mental health and substance use treatment. As the behavioral health service of Tanner Health, our Villa Rica campus is home to a 92-bed inpatient behavioral health facility and adjacent outpatient center designed to support healing, recovery and long-term wellness.

Our facility offers easy access for patients and families throughout the region and is located near Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica for additional emergency support when needed. Designed to provide adaptable, patient-centered care for individuals of all ages, the inpatient hospital includes 72 adult beds, including a dedicated young adult unit for patients ages 18 to 25, as well as a specialized 20-bed adolescent unit for patients ages 12 to 17.

Since opening in 2009, Willowbrooke at Tanner has expanded to meet the growing behavioral health needs of the community. A 2015 expansion added 30 patient rooms and enhanced amenities focused on comfort, healing and therapeutic engagement.

Willowbrooke Urgent Care for Mental Health and Substance Use

Located inside Willowbrooke at Tanner – Villa Rica, Willowbrooke Urgent Care for Mental Health and Substance Use provides walk-in behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, adults and seniors experiencing mental health or substance use concerns.

As the only mental health and addiction urgent care in the region, Willowbrooke Urgent Care offers timely access to licensed mental health professionals and a variety of treatment options — no appointment necessary. Whether care is needed urgently or a patient is seeking help for ongoing mental health or substance use concerns, Willowbrooke Urgent Care serves as the starting point for treatment.

Following an assessment, patients are connected to the most appropriate level of care, including inpatient services, outpatient treatment or ongoing psychiatric care. Follow-up services may be provided at Willowbrooke locations in Villa Rica or Carrollton, or through convenient telehealth appointments.

Willowbrooke at Tanner – Villa Rica is a short-stay inpatient hospital — not a residential treatment facility. The average inpatient stay is typically less than seven days, with treatment focused on stabilization, safety and developing a path forward for continued recovery and support.

Our multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, therapists, counselors, nurses and behavioral health specialists provides individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs. Treatment may address:
