What is orthopedic pain management?

Orthopedic pain management aims to treat chronic pain originating from the bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons and spine. Rather than simply masking symptoms, our treatment approach focuses on uncovering the underlying causes and restoring function. Many patients benefit from non-surgical pain management treatments, while others may require minimally invasive procedures or surgery based on their specific condition.

Orthopedic pain management services

We offer a comprehensive range of treatments to alleviate orthopedic and spine-related pain. Your care team will recommend options based on your diagnosis, symptoms and treatment goals.

Common services include:

  • Epidural steroid injections (ESIs): These reduce inflammation around spinal nerves, helping relieve pain from herniated discs, spinal stenosis, and sciatica.
  • Joint injections: Image-guided injections into joints like the knee, hip, or shoulder to reduce inflammation and arthritis-related pain.
  • Facet joint and sacroiliac (SI) joint injections: Targeted injections for pain originating from joints in the spine or pelvis.
  • Radiofrequency ablation (RFA): A minimally invasive procedure using heat to interrupt pain signals from specific nerves, providing long-lasting relief for chronic neck, back, or joint pain.
  • Nerve blocks: Injections near specific nerves to temporarily block pain signals, helping diagnose or treat certain types of pain.
  • Trigger point injections: Medication injected into tight muscle areas, often referred to as "knots," to relieve muscle tension and improve movement.
  • Regenerative treatments (PRP): Platelet-rich plasma therapy uses components from your blood to support healing in injured tendons, joints, and soft tissues.
